Caring for Books

  • Use bookmarks and clean hands.
  • Turn pages from the top right corner.
  • Keep books clean and dry - no food, drink, or weather, please.
  • Keep books in a safe place when you aren't reading - away from siblings and pets.
  • Others use these books - no drawing, coloring, cutting, or pasting.
  • Report damaged books to the library staff as soon as possible.


  • Open daily at 8:50AM (after the 411 News)
  • Closes daily at 3:00PM (12:15PM on Adjusted Dismissal Days)


  • Kindergarten classes have a read aloud lesson every week followed by book checkout.
  • First-Fifth Grade classes are scheduled and taught collaboratively by the classroom teacher and Library Media Specialist


  • This new feature to our Media Center is available to second through fifth graders.
  • Students visit on a rotating schedule and must have their classroom pass to participate.


  • Students may check out up to two books at a time.
  • Students may check out books for up to two weeks.
  • To renew a book, bring it to the library to checkout again.
  • Fines are not charged for late or overdue books.
  • Students with overdue books cannot check out.
  • Replacement costs will be charged for lost or damaged books.
